I HATE VIRUSES!!!

Mon Nov 12, 2007, 1:25 AM
I've been battling this virus I have on my computer for over a week and I have no idea where I could have contracted it from...I'm believing it's a Trojan...I delete one and the next time I restart it's back again...UGH!!! ANNOYING!

Do people get some sort of sexual satisfaction from irritating the sh** out of people with that crap.....I don't know...but I find this to be completely pathetic...

If this last virus removal tool doesn't work and I find myself deleting it again...does anyone have any tips on what I can use to remove this demon once and for all.....preferably without reinstalling windows...and wiping my computer...

Thank you guys...

~Sarah

AVG may be able to kill it.
Unplug the internet (physically by the wire so that it can be put back)
and run a virus scan five or so times, deleting the thing, with a restart in between.

That should kill it.
It gets refilled by connecting to the internet,
and if its contacts are cut off,
it may just die. :)

No promises though... :(

Aww thank you for your help. I ran AVG before but it just didn't work =( Aparantly the type of virus I had attatches itself to your registery and fools all antivirus software into believing nothings wrong with your computer.

If the antivirus software sees anything it's usually decoy clones the virus makes to think you're winning. And every time you restart it just repeats the process of replicating advertisements, fake virus warnings and creating fake programs.

I finally got it fixed though through the Bleeping Computer forum.

If you ever have any major virus problems or your computer seems to be running abnormally slow, they'll help you =)

=) Thank you so much for your advice though you're the only one who tried to help.

Your very welcome. :D

I will definitely keep that site in mind. :)

CCleaner could work too, but Im not sure if it cleans viruses or not...
